It’s not officially Fall yet. But somehow, we’ve fallen on that weather where it’s cold enough in the morning for a sweater, but by midafternoon, it’s hot outside. I’ve been thinking of outfits to wear in this situation for years now and I think I’m starting to figure it out. So here are some ideas for your wardrobe.
I think keeping things simple is the best way to stay warm. So I went for a jeans and t-shirt type of look. Wearing a black shirt with my favorite pair of black jeans keeps this look clean and simple. Plus, wearing black absorbs heat, which will keep you warm during the morning. The materials aren’t too heavy so when it does start warming up in the afternoon, I don’t feel too hot.
Continuing with the idea of longer things, I think a skirt is a great piece for anytime of the year. Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean you have to only wear pants. So to make this skirt a little more interesting, I paired it with my favorite white converse. This gives it an edgy feel, instead of it being really feminine. Since it is cold outside in the morning, I topped it off with a leather jacket. The length of the skirt is perfect to keep warm, but not too long to make you feel too warm in the afternoon.
